Technical detail
One Health is an integrated approach recognising that human, animal, plant and environmental health are interdependent. Operationally (the OHHLEP/Quadripartite definition) it coordinates surveillance, prevention and policy across sectors. It is the natural frame for zoonotic spillover, food safety and antimicrobial resistance, whose reservoirs and flows cross the human–animal–environment interfaces that single-sector interventions cannot cover.
